Karen Page Cast For Daredevil Television Show!

Holy hotness, comic fans! Looks like the Marvel/Netflix Daredevil show has busted out some casting news, and another supporting character for the anticipated series has been added to the cast! This time, and to no surprise, it's the well-known Daredevil character Karen Page. As if fans didn't see that one coming, since the character was there at the very beginning and played a supporting role in many of the early comic books featuring the Man Without Fear.

Although there would be a few others, Karen Page is the longest-running love interest for Matt Murdock in the pages of Daredevil, and it looks like the beautiful Deborah Ann Woll has landed the coveted role. The True Blood actress is not the first to play the character though. Karen Page had a brief appearance in the 2003 Daredevil movie starring Ben Affleck, and the secretary of the fictional Nelson and Murdock law firm was played by the lovely Ellen Pompeo.

With the Daredevil television show only running 13 episodes, it's a wonder just how much the character of Karen Page will actually be in the show and how much of the romance between Murdock and Page will play out in this series. I'm questioning whether her father will make an appearance as well. If you're not familiar with Karen Page, her father is Dr. Paxton Page, who becomes the villain Deaths-Head.

It may seem unlikely since they do have to cover quite a bit in a short time plus find room to link the show with the 3 other shows dealing with the Marvel characters of Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage that will follow after. Still, could be a possibility, and brings into question just what other characters linked to Daredevil will the show introduce as well.

We do know that Matt Murdock's best friend and partner, Foggy Nelson, has been cast and will be played by Elden Henson. Daredevil's nemesis the King Pin will be played by Vincent D' Onofrio

Deborah Ann Woll won't be the only stunning beauty on the t.v. series. It was announced recently that the gorgeous Rosario Dawson has also signed on for the series in a yet unspecified role to bring in major acting chops along side D'Onofrio. I smell a lover triangle between her character, Karen Page and Matt Murdock. Although there's a strong possibility that Rosario Dawson's character just may be made up for the television series and not be based on any comic character, many in the fandom are speculating that Dawson just may be the next hottie to wield the famous sais.

Which brings the question of will Marvel do the same as DC's Arrow has been doing by introducing a whole slew of other characters in their comic library as the episodes chug a long? Comic fans sure hope so, and a many are hoping that Elektra and Bullseye do make an appearance even if it's a cameo appearance and even if they're not suited up. Well, at least, I am hoping, because doing so may work better for the small screen than trying to cram it in a movie.

After all, those two are deeply linked to the Daredevil mythos, and it would be a shame not to at least give a nod to them or to see them in an episode as civilians pre-villain phase. A nod to Frank Castle pre-Punisher would be pretty awesome to see on the small screen as well.

Exciting things can happen with this show, and it definitely looks like things are speeding right along. I'm actually interested in seeing how this turns out.

Karen Page, a long with Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson, first appeared in Daredevil #1. Deborah Ann Woll will be joining Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Vincent D'Onofrio, and Rosario Dawson, and episode 1 is just around the corner and set to stream to your computer or flat screen t.v. in 2015.
