Superman vs Batman Welcomes Cyborg to It's Cast!

Yep, you read the title right. It looks like Cyborg from the Teen Titans will make his onscreen debut in the yet to be titled Man of Steel sequel and generically referred to as Superman vs. Batman. As odd as it sounds, the character of Victor Stone will be joining Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor in this sequel that's primed to be a mega block buster, but it's not so odd. Cyborg is also a member of the Justice League as well, and this leads to Warner Bros definitely building up to a Justice League movie.

Who will be playing the coveted role of Cyborg though? It seems that newcomer Ray Fisher has been confirmed to step into the metal boots. Fisher is mostly known for his theater roles, most recently his portrayal as Muhammad Ali. Finally, an actor that somewhat looks like the comic character.

Although Warner Bros has not officially confirmed this, there were earlier rumors that Zack Snyder was looking to cast a black superhero. So where is this news leaking from? Variety recently came out with the news, and since the Man of Steel did make a nod to S.T.A.R. Labs, where the DC Comics' Cyborg character was originally created in the comics, this casting news just may be on the level. Variety also reported that the role of Cyborg will be a minor one for now.

Cyborg first appearance along with the rest of his Teen Titans group in DC Comics Presents #26, a late bronze age comic book, and I'm predicting this first appearance of Cyborg is gonna heat up real fast! Especially since it looks even more likely that a Justice League movie is getting closer to really happening. This will be an investment comic to be on the hunt for and real soon. If you already have a copy, it may be one to submit to CGC if you think it's a high enough grade. Good stuff!

I've located the cheapest copies I could find for this key issue, so click the link to find out where you can get DC Comics Presents #26 at CGC 9.8.
