Finally, we are at the bronze age of Flash key issues in Part 9 of this key comics list. There aren't many great investment worthy bronze age comics concerning Barry Allen and the Flash, but there are some.

If you missed Part 8, no worries. Just click the blue link you just speed past and it'll bring you there. Other than that, enjoy Part 9, and we are quickly closing in on this key issue list.

  • 3rd Superman and Flash race story
The third famous race between Flash and Superman to determine who is the fastest. Actually, they were racing across the universe to save it from alien beings that moved faster than the speed of light and threatened the very fabric of the universe. This is part one to a two part story that would see the winner in the next issue of World's Finest Comics.

This issue was published in November, 1970.

eBay - Can we say awesome! A whopping CGC 9.8 copy is on eBay for this key issue. Yes, it's pricey, but it's not an easy find. Also there's a gorgeous CGC 9.6. Then the CGC goodness stops and the rest are unslabbed copies.

ComicConnect - More CGC copies here for those who love 'em. We got a 9.2 going up for auction in May, as well as a 9.6 NM+ in stock and ready to go. Also some unslabbed options for those who prefer them.

ComicLink - Two CGC copies at ComicLink. One is a whopping CGC 9.8 and the other a VF/NM 9.0!

  • 3rd Superman and Flash race story ends
In this epic third race, this issue concludes the two part story that begins in World's Finest Comics #198. In the end, the winner of this race is clearly the Flash, who reached the machine that controlled the alien beings first and shut it down before Superman did.

Finally, a definite winner when it comes to who is the fastest. This issue came out in December, 1970.

eBay - Two gorgeous 9.6s here. One is priced at a steal. The other a bit overpriced. There's also an 8.5 decently priced and a boat load of unslabbed copies. Some raw copies claim to be high grade as well.

ComicLink - A super high grade CGC 9.8 located here, and a CGC 2.0 GD.

ComicConnect - The fine folks at ComicConnect also bring some CGC goodness for this bronze age key issue. One 9.2 goes up for auction in May, and a gorgeous CGC 9.6 is in stock and ready to get snagged. Two unslabbed copies in the higher mid-grade are also available for sale.

  • Origin of Metal Men
This issue details the mysterious origin of the Metal Men, artificially intelligent robots who became quite popular in the DC Comics universe during the silver age of comics. This issue debuted in April, 1972, and is a minor key issue that's not very well-known or sought out as of yet. Whether that changes is yet unknown, but it definitely could.

mycomicshop - Two unslabbed copies here. One's a 5.0 VG/FN and the other a VG+.

eBay - No problem finding high grade, unslabbed copies here. Pretty nice selection. However, CGC copies are non-existent at the time of this writing.

NewKadia - More unslabbed copies, and in the lower grade. A VG+ and GD are in stock here.

ComicConnect - CGC 9.4 copy located here! Only one CGC, however. The other is a high grade unslabbed copy.

ComicLink - If you're looking to compare more CGC prices, ComicLink has quite a few available. Actually, there are five. Highest is a CGC 9.6! There's also a CGC 9.4, 9.2, and an 8.5 and 7.0. Only one unslabbed copy for this key issue at a low NM 9.2.

  • 2nd unnamed appearance of Earth-Prime
Talk about some egos floating around during the bronze age of comic s in the DC Comics camp. This time it's writer Cary Bates who travels from Earth-Prime to Earth One to help the Flash battle The Trickster. This issue came out in August, 1974.

Not an overly sought out key issue, but it still is one of the few Flash key comics during the bronze age. Shouldn't be too expensive of a snag.

mycomicshop - Three unslabbed copies in stock. Highest is a solid FN, and the other two are VG/FN 5.0 and a GD+. Super affordable at these grades.

eBay - Once again eBay lacks on the CGC goodness, but does have a few unslabbed options to consider for this key issue Flash comic.

NewKadia - Four copies located here. Highest is a VF+ and the rest are in the mid-grade range.

ComicLink - One CGC 9.6 NM+ available for sale here!

  • Death of The Top
Roscoe Dillian bites the dust here when he goes up against The Flash. Of course, his death sparks some weirdness in how to actually bring back one of the oldest foes of the Flash, but that isn't until later. This bad boy came out in August, 1976.

eBay - A decent selection of unslabbed copies for this bronze age Flash comic. No CGC as of yet.

NewKadia - Only one copy here at a VF+ for around $15 bucks.

  • First appearance of Golden Gilder
Captain Cold's sister, Lisa Snart, finally becomes the Golden Gilder in this issue. Another foe of the Flash and armed with advanced razor sharp ice skates and a host of gadgets, Lisa Snart seeks revenge for the death of her lover, Roscoe Dillian, also known as The Top.

CGC comics will be harder to find for this issue, as it is not all that in demand and is a sleeper.

mycomicshop - One 8.0 VF unslabbed copy in stock. Also in stock is a solid FN copy for this Flash bronze age, key issue comic.

eBay - More unslabbed goodness for those who don't care for graded copies. No CGC yet.

NewKadia - One VF+ copy is all that's in stock.
