WHY THIS KEY ISSUE?

Rumors, rumors, rumors! When it comes to Carol Danvers, the first to take the moniker of Ms. Marvel, a lot of fans have been wanting her to assemble in an Avengers film.

Ms. Marvel has become a recent fan favorite Avenger in the world of comics, but her first appearance as Ms. Marvel has relatively remained a sleeper until the Avengers movie proved to be a huge success. Although she has not yet been confirmed to make a big screen debut, comic fans should not ignore that there is a high possibility that her character is primed to.

In an early interview for Thor The Dark World, Natalie Portman alluded that Marvel has plans for a female comic book movie. Whether this is connected to Ms. Marvel or Scarlett Johansson finally getting her way with a Black Widow spin-off flick is unsure. At the same time, news reports have surfaced in the past of Marvel eyeing the ever lovely Emily Blunt for the role of Ms. Marvel in an Avengers sequel. I think it's a perfect choice, but Katee Sackhoff is also a strong contender as well.

The rumor mill has increased even more recently since the Latino Review recently reported that Ms. Marvel is the last major piece of casting left for the Avengers Age of Ultron.

Ms. Marvel #1 should not be confused with Carol Danver's first appearance in comics. This is the first appearance of Ms. Marvel. Nevertheless, the demand for this comic is heating up rather quickly, and I smell a casting confirmation for this character quite soon.
If you're on the hunt, this comic is ready to blast off. When the character is confirmed, demand and prices will only get worse. Be sure to be on the look out for the first appearance of Carol Danvers as well.

Thank you for reading!

  1. HI I've been reading you're blog for a month or so and my comic knowledge has increased a lot. What do you think of the rumor of her getting a cameo in Age Of Ultron? I'm considering buying a 7.0 for $85 what do you think? Is there growth potential at that grade?

  5. Price for a cgc 9.4 settled around $200 while a 9.8 around $1200.. dunno if there is any growth left? Compared to 1st Luke Cage or 1st Iron Fist it is really cheap, but those books might have much smaller print runs?
