Here we are with Part 5 to series of Wonder Woman key issue comics to invest in. We are quickly winding down to the end here. If you missed the other parts, you can check them out by visiting whichever part you desire by clicking the links below and at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!

Wonder Woman #85 cover picture
Wonder Woman #85
  • First silver age issue
It's important I put this in, because things get screwy concerning Earth One and Earth Two. DC Comics never officially announced when Earth One Wonder Woman and Earth Two Wonder Woman starts or ends. All we know is that the shift starts in the silver age. Although this is the first silver age issue in the titled series, it's not considered the first appearance of Earth One Wonder Woman. It is still an important DC Comic key issue.

ebay - Only two unslabbed copies found here. One looks like a VG- or low very good. The other is a PR (poor) condition copy. Just like golden age, early Wonder Woman silver age key books are extremely hard to find even in lower grades.

Wonder Woman #98 cover image
Wonder Woman #98
  • First appearance of Earth One Wonder Woman
  • Origin with new facts
  • New art team
A debate about whether this is the first appearance of Earth One Wonder Woman still continues, but many point to this issue as the unofficial first appearance of the Earth Two Wonder Woman set in the silver age world of DC Comics. Important silver age DC Comics first appearances to have concerning Wonder Woman comics. Ross Andru and Mike Esposito take over the creative team of Wonder Woman comics, replacing original artist Harry G. Peter. Wonder Woman was revamped for the silver age in this issue. This is a scarce book.

ebay - One unslabbed copy advertised as a VG/FN on ebay. Click the blue link above to check it out.

Wonder Woman #105 imageWonder Woman #105
  • Silver Age Origin Revised
  • First appearance of Wonder Girl

Whether Earth One Wonder Woman first appeared in issue #98 or in this issue #105 is still being debated. This origin, however, is important as it establishes that Diana had not been created from clay and was actually born there before the Amazons settle on Paradise Island.

As for Wonder Girl, it should be noted that the Wonder Girl in this story is a younger version of Diana Prince, not her protege Donna Troy who later adopts the same title of Wonder Girl. Issue #105 is a super scarce book.

ComicLink - A whopping CGC 9.0 VF/NM is located here for quite a bit of mulah. Also a CGC VG+ 4.5 is for sale for those on a budget.

Brave and the Bold #28 comic image
Brave and the Bold #28
  • First appearance of Justice League of America
  • First appearance of Earth One Wonder Woman with Justice League of America
Okay, deviating off title now, but in terms of Wonder Woman key issues, this is a super important one. After all, it's the first appearance of the Justice League of America and the first published appearance of Wonder Woman amongst this legendary ensemble of DC Comics most popular and mightiest superheroes.

This is a holy grail silver age key issue comic, and one of the most sought after DC Comics first appearances. Getting a low grade copy of this issue would be a prized comic in one's collection.

ebay - Some choices and some pretty expensive choices as well. Most unslabbed are lower grade, and many of the CGC are restored lower grade copies. Only saw one unrestored CGC copy that was a 7.0 FN/VF for some major mulah! You can check out the selection by clicking the blue ebay link above.

ComicLink - If mid-grade is more on your budget, there are two solid CGC FINE copies for sale at ComicLink.

Justice League of America #9 comic cover
Justice League #9
  • Origin of Justice League of America
  • Earth One Wonder Woman joins Justice League of America
Okay, another pretty important and historical key issue that concerns Earth One Wonder Woman. Justice League of America #9 tells for the first time how the Earth One DC heroes banded together to form the alternate version of the Justice Society of America, which is on Earth Two. This is the first time the origin of Justice League of America is revealed, and the first time Earth One Wonder Woman helps to found the team.

ebay - Good selection of this issue in lower grades. Saw one CGC 9.0 VF/NM, which is pretty awesome. Mostly unslabbed copies here at the moment.

mycomicshop - The fine folks at mycomicshop have a high grade 9.4 solid NM that's CGC graded, as well as an unslabbed GD/VG copy. If you're into high grade key issues, that 9.4 just may be perfect for you collection.

ComicLink - A CGC 9.0 VF/NM and an 8.5 VF+ are awaiting for some smart comic collector to snag them.

Wonder Woman #177 cover pic
Wonder Woman #177
  • Supergirl team up and fight
  • Issue before Wonder Woman surrenders her powers

This issue is famous for the issue that precedes Wonder Woman giving up her powers and becoming a normal, or semi-normal, person. However, this is one of the rare team ups just between Wonder Woman and Supergirl. As the cover suggests, they also do go at it and scrap.

mycomicshop - Three available copies, all unslabbed. Highest is a FN/VF 7.0 for this Wonder Woman key issue comic. All are highly affordable as this is a sleeper comic so far.

Newkadia - Ah, the fine folks at Newkadia finally pull through with a Wonder Woman key issue. One mid-grade FN copy here for under $30. Plus discount if you're a new buyer. The link will bring you to the page it's on, and it's near the top.

ebay - Unslabbed copies here, but limited selection. Mostly lower grade, but quite affordable. Still no CGC found.

ComicLink - High grade CGC copy located! ComicLink has a very nice 9.2 slabbed copy of this issue for $195, which is a pretty good deal considering it's guided at $150.
