X-Men Days of Future Past Movie Trailer!

Well, it's finally been released - X-Men Days of Future Past movie trailer and our very first look at this highly anticipated X-Men movie that has been promising to be epic. So check it out below:

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about this one coming out next year. Despite complaints that it looks like this movie will be too overcrowded with superheroes, I have to disagree with the so-called know-it-all movie critic who is NOT a comic book fan, I have to add.

Yes, there are a lot of comic characters in this movie. It's an X-Men movie, based off the comic book of a team of mutant heroes, so of course there's going to be a lot of superheroes in an X-Men movie. Go read an X-Men comic before ya complain about trivial crap like that.

However, this is just no X-Men movie! It's based off the beloved story line Days of Future Past in X-Men #141 and #142 by one of the best writing/art team of Chris Claremont and John Byrne in X-Men comics! And there were a whole slew of X-Men characters in that comic book storyline as well, including the first appearance of the new Brotherhood of Mutants team led by Mystique. They debuted in Uncanny X-Men #142, though. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the movie will not honor that part of seeing the new Brotherhood of Mutants like in the comic.

And here's the kicker that Mr. movie critic doesn't know and should know before he writes an article complaining about too many X-Men characters in a movie: There's finally gonna be battle with the Sentinels in this one! So, yeah, you better believe that a large cast of X-Men characters are gonna be needed to go up against those mechanical robots with the single objective to hunt and kill mutant kind. As fans of the comics, we've been waiting to see that go down for quite some time.

Plus, the movie is gonna shift back and forth between past and future, so of course there will be new faces in the future timeline, right? Makes sense. The trailer does give us a look at Blink, Warpath, and Bishop.

By the way it has been confirmed that Kick Ass star Aaron Taylor Johnson will be Quicksilver in X-Men Days of Future Past. And, yes, Marvel/Disney are still having their own Quicksilver slated to appear in the Avengers Age of Utron.

Well, as I've said, this trailer got me more excited about the movie, and I can't wait to see it. Hopefully, it'll be in shown in IMAX 3-D! Oh, wait, nevermind! Fox did confirm that the new X-Men movie will be in 3-D, although it's unsure whether it will be shot in 3-D or post converted into 3-D after. Also, if you're an X-Men comic collecting fan on the hunt for some X-Men key issues, be sure to visit the link to see my list of important X-Men keys to get. By the way, I love this graphic and whoever did it did an uncanny and awesome job, because it has the feel of X-Men #141's comic book cover. I don't see Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde on it, however.

So what do you guys think about the X-Men Days of Future Past trailer? More excited to see this or no? Chime in below and let us know what you think.

  1. this movie got me so excited I went out and had to get the 3 key books to get the ball rolling....uncanny xmen 141 & 142 ...each CGC 9.6 I got the set for $400, then got a CGC 9.0 Xmen 12 for $500...I think your articles are a great tool in making investments in books and I thank you for your work!
