Vin Diesel In Avengers 2? Jeremy Renner Possibly Out!

Latest news is that Vin Diesel has met with Marvel and teased that he may join the Marvel cinematic universe. But whom and which movie.

As we've learned from Mr. Diesel, he uses facebook a lot to tease his fans. In fact, his facebook fanpage team put up a pic of Vin Diesel altered to look like the Vision not too long ago. This stunt was used to try to attract those over at Marvel.

Needless to say, it worked. After leaving the meeting, Diesel possibly revealed which movie and whom he'll be playing with a picture and a caption.

P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen…
you know I get tunnel vision with my work…
and after that meeting today… wow!"

Possible Clue #1: Picture in front of Avengers #2 comic cover. It could be possible that Vin Diesel's is hinting at his character may be making a cameo in the Avengers 2 sequel.

Possible Clue #2: Diesel made reference to his facebook page and used a bit selective wording in his caption - "tunnel vision".

Although a few have speculated that Vin Diesel just may be playing Giant Man or Thanos, the long-running speculation of the whole Vin Diesel Vision thing seems even more likely.

It's also a good possibly that his character just may replace Hawkeye all together. Jeremy Renner has expressed dissatisfaction with his role as Hawkeye, which upset those at Marvel/Disney. To Total Film back in August of last year, Renner said:

"For 90% of the movie, I'm not the character I signed on to play," says Renner, before homing in on the decision to have Hawkeye brainwashed by Loki from the get-go. "It's kind of a vacancy. [He's] not even a bad guy, because there's not really a consciousness to him."

He also added: "To take away who that character is and just have him be this robot, essentially, and have him be this minion for evil that Loki uses... I was limited, you know what I mean? I was a terminator in a way. Fun stunts. But is there any sort of emotional content or thought process? No."

Apparently, Renner forgot what happened to Edward Norton after butting heads with those at Marvel on the movie Incredible Hulk. But, to be perfectly fair, Renner's comments were pretty accurate and his character in the Avengers was the weakest link and highly bland. Perhaps, his comment convinced those at Marvel as well.

I still think that it really boils down to Hawkeye not getting his own solo movie, in which Renner had possibly hoped for when signing on. After all, he is a pretty bankable star and playing a character that is fifth fiddle just may be what's really irking the movie star.

Even Scarlett Johansson had pushed for a Black Widow movie not too long ago as well, which was declined, so I can imagine that Renner also had high hopes for his character as well.

Honestly, I could care less whether they give Hawkeye the axe in the upcoming Avengers 2. The character barely impressed in Avengers, and I'd much rather see other Avengers characters get their shot, like Black Panther, or characters that could be visually stunning like Ant-Man and The Vision.

With Joss Whedon announcing that Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch will be in Avengers 2, recently re-confirming it after Bryan Singer and Fox Studios also cast the character to be in the upcoming X-Men Days of Future Past, it's an extremely high possibility that the Vision will get his due on screen. After all, the Vision and the Scarlet Witch are romantically linked in the comics.

The only thing we really know is that a Marvel role possibly awaits Vin Diesel. However, Vin Diesel as the Vision? I think he would be perfect for the role of Vision, and Marvel and Disney just may agree as well.

What do you think?
