Avengers 2 rumors! The Vision In Avengers 2?

So the latest rumors circulating in the Marvel movie realm has to do with long time Avenger, the Vision. The comic book fan favorite robot from the Avengers comics has a good chance of making his way to the silver screen.

It's already been confirmed that the Antman movie is well underway to hit the screen. A script has been written, and Marvel Studios and director Edgar Wright showed test footage of the Antman movie at San Diego Con this year.

Also, Marvel Studios has also confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters in 2014, and the film will tie-in to the Avengers 2 sequel. Is it possible that the founding member of the Avengers, Antman, may be heading to join his team mates in Avengers 2? Possibly!

So what does this have to do with the Vision? Well, to clarify things the Vision is a "synthezoid" created by Ultron. The Visions original mission was to get revenge on Henry Pym, otherwise known as the famous original Avenger - Antman!

To top it off, the Vision has also appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy comics. Could he make a cameo in that flick's end credits?

Even more Avengers 2 rumors and speculation by fans has spawned the rumor that the Vision could be S.H.I.E.L.D's very own Agent Phil Coulson played by Clark Gregg. In the Avengers movie, Coulson is killed by Loki, and many were upset by this as his character was a fan favorite.

However, Agent Coulson's personality could be uploaded in the Vision's brain if certain liberties are taken concerning the source material. Actually, a lot of liberties.

The Vision would have to be a creation of S.H.I.E.L.D instead of Ultron for the movie, and if Marvel Studios goes that route, it doesn't make sense to make the Vision carry out his true origin of villainy against Henry Pym in the Antman movie.

It's widely rumored that Vin Diesel is extremely interested in playing the Vision, and I think he would be great for the role. It would be his best role, for I really don't care about the movies he's done so far.

Click the link to discover what comic book and issue boasts  the first appearance of Vision.

It would make more sense that the other original Avenger member - The Wasp - will make her on screen debut in the Antman movie. Actually, it's logical to assume she will. After all, she was Henry Pym's wife in the comics.

I would put more money on the Wasp making her way to the Avengers than the Vision, but who knows? Maybe the rumors of Agent Coulson coming back as the Vision is possible. After all, it wont be the first time Marvel Studios has messed with a character's origin.

In a comic investing sense, getting the first appearance of Janet Van Dyke - The Wasp - is a guaranteed best bet over the Vision. At least, for now! Oh yes, and, of course, the first appearance of Henry Pym as the Antman.

Marvel First Appearances - First Appearance of Vision!

Movie and comic fans are already speculating, and Avengers 2 rumors are already circulating the world in a big bad way. One of the many Avengers 2 rumors that The Vision could be making his way on screen to assemble with Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Even though this is, perhaps, the most far-fetched of rumors surrounding the much anticipated follow up to the biggest comic book movie in history, it still hasn't stopped comic investing and collecting fans from seeking out the first appearance of Vision.

No matter what this key issue is a must-have for any serious Avengers comic fan or comic investor. Although not an original member of the Avengers like Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Wasp and Ant-Man, the Vision has always been an integral and beloved Avenger.

It does make sense that his first appearance on screen would be in an Avengers flick. After all, his first appearance is in Marvel Comics, The Avengers #57. The Vision was created by Roy Thomas and legendary comic artist John Buscema.

Regardless that the Vision most likely won't appear in Marvel Studios' phase II of movies, demand for this silver age goodie has increased. Perhaps, whether or not The Vision appears in phase II, comic speculators are assuming that Marvel Studios has plans for the Vision in phase III?

Either way, this is an important Marvel first appearance and key issue, and if you're itching to add another great comic investment to your collection, you can grab a great copy of the first appearance of Vision by clicking the super-powered blue link or the Avengers #57 cover image.

Avengers 2 Rumors! Thanos, Ant-Man, Falcon & More!

There's no other comic book movie right now getting more excitement and buzz circulating around it than the sequel to the mega smash blockbuster The Avengers movie. Can you say that history repeats itself?

It wasn't too long ago that a torrid of rumors concerning that Thanos would be making an appearance in this years Avengers movie. The wonderful folks at The Latino Review leaked the rumor and it came to be true.

Since we've all got to take a look at Thanos after the end credits of The Avengers, we now know that Marvel Studios has plans for our favorite Mad Titan. However, in what movie will Thanos wreak his wonderful cosmic madness in?

Many were sure Thanos would be the main baddie in the Avengers 2 sequel, but then Marvel threw us all a curve ball by announcing a Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Then rumors began to circulate that Thanos would be the main villain in Guardians.

Now, it seems that Thanos will be expected to appear in Guardians, but the extent of his role is in question. As for the Avengers sequel, rumor Marvel insider Roger Wardell recently tweeted:

"Thanos will be the mastermind of Marvel's Phase II, so don't just expect to see him in The Avengers 2."

Marvel Studios President of Production - Kevin Feige - also dropped some knowledge to MTV with a quote saying:

"Clearly, there's a purpose to us putting him in the end of [The Avengers). We do have plans for him. I wouldn't say we ever feel the need to rush anything one way or the other. We succeeded in Phase One because we stuck to our guns and stuck to the plan. That plan took place over many, many years and it ultimately paid off. I see Phase Two unfolding in the same way of us taking our time, us doing what's right for each individual movie, while folding in elements that will not only build up to the culmination of Phase Two, but even Phase Three."

Sounds great to me and other comic fanatics, and all this buzz about Thanos has sparked and increased interest in the character, especially what comic he first appeared in. If you're wondering visit the link to find out what comic issue boasts the first appearance of Thanos!

So what's up with the Falcon? Well, Marvel Studios has already confirmed the title of Captain America's next solo movie - Captain America: The Winter Soldier! It's also been confirmed that the character of The Falcon will be played by Anthony Mackie.

Yikes! Does this mean that The Falcon will be in the Avengers 2? Avengers 2 rumors has it that he will, indeed, have a role in the next major Marvel movie epic. I'm a bit disappointed if that's true. Along with many fans, I was hoping to see The Black Panther get his due in Avengers 2.

After, in my poll in what Avenger do you want to see in the sequel, Black Panther came out victorious by a huge margin, so it's not just me who wants to see him on the big screen. You can check out my poll and vote at the link above.

But what if The Falcon isn't in Avengers 2? Then my question is why introduce him in Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

Besides, it's already a sausage fest in the Avengers movie. I mean, The Black Widow was a bit lonely there. Let's put in another hot female superhero in there, and no other female comic character deserves to assemble in the next Avengers movie than The Wasp!

Yes, she is an original member of the Avengers and wife to Dr. Henry Pym, a.k.a. Ant-Man! And speaking of Ant-Man, it looks like the long-talked about Ant-Man movie is finally coming into fruition!

Word on the street is that the highly anticipated Ant-Man movie will begin shooting late this year after Thor 2 - Thor: The Dark World - wraps production. This may lead to the Ant-Man movie making a late 2014 release after Cap's sequel is released.

If that is the case, then the Ant-Man and Wasp just make it in time to assemble with their original team members for the Avengers 2 sequel. However, this is speculation and an Avengers 2 rumor. No confirmations has been made.

Regardless, it would be a shame if these two founding members were introduced in Marvel Studios phase III instead of phase II. However, later is better than never.

Nevertheless, my fellow comic collecting and comic investing fans, news about the Ant-Man movie has invigorated much interest in his and The Wasp's first Marvel Comic appearances. Be sure to click the link to discover the issues that have quickly become two of the most important comics to invest in for 2012 and beyond!

Oh, yes, and casting for the Ant-Man has yet to unfold, but what actor and actress do you think would make a great Henry Pym (Ant-Man) as well as The Wasp?

Black Panther Marvel Movie Takes A Backseat To Antman Movie!

It looks like Marvel has confirmed it's post Avengers movie line up slated for 2013 and 2014 releases. While everyone was wondering about a possible Antman or a Black Panther movie, it seemed Marvel confirmed it's decision at the San Diego Comic Con this year.

While the Black Panther is still being written by Mark Bailey, it seems an Antman teaser was shown at the Marvel panel and there has been no real new news about the upcoming Black Panther Marvel movie.

I have no doubt that the Black Panther will, indeed, get his spotlight on the silver screen. The Latino Review has rumored many times that Marvel is serious about making The Black Panther. However, it seems that T'Challa and Wakanda may be thrown into the Marvel Studios' mix sometime during Phase 3.

Marvel's Phase 2 line up consists of Thor 2: The Dark World (11/8/13), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (4/4/14), and Guardians of the Galaxy (8/1/14). The Antman movie sees his movie debut in 2014 as well.

Director Edgar Wright was at the Marvel Panel at Comic Con and talked more about plans for the upcoming Antman movie. A script has been written, and Wright explained that Antman's costume will look close to what was depicted in the rough test footage shown at Comic Con.

Antman will start filming sometime next year. I speculate that a Black Panther movie may be thrown into the mix somewhere around 2015 before or after Avengers 2 is released in May of that year. Maybe T'Challa will make a cameo in the Avengers 2 sequel?

Now that would be cool, and I truly hope it happens. After all, the Black Panther won with flying colors in my poll in which comic fans voted on what Avengers character they'd most like to assemble in the next Avengers flick.

You can see the results or vote for yourself by visiting the page here.

Until then, we'll just have to see what news Marvel Studios drops or the Latino Review leaks out concerning the Black Panther being in the Avengers 2 or his own solo movie. 2015 is quite a ways from now.

For comic investing fans, however, it's not that far away. Time to get on those key issue comics before demand gets out of hand, as I always say.

Iron Man #55 - First Appearance of Thanos At!

Thanos is hot right now. Actually, he was hot when the Latino Review leaked the rumor that Thanos was going to be in The Avengers movie! Now, the first appearance of Thanos in Iron Man #55 is smoking, red hot!

Making a cameo in the Avengers has given comic collectors and investors every reason to believe Thanos is heading into the spotlight within Marvel's cinematic continuity. Considering that the Infinity Gauntlet was featured in Odin's Chamber in Thor, we can all assume what the Mad Titan has his sights on in order to "court Death!"

And to top it off, has a high grade CGC 9.6 Near Mint Plus Iron Man #55 for sale right now! If you've been hunting for this key issue, click the link to grab it up.

But that's not all. There's also a Near Mint Iron Man #55 at a PGX 9.4 for sale as well! Not kidding at all. Check out both these high grade, rare and beautiful key issue comics of Iron Man 55 and the first appearance of Thanos.

Why is this comic going well over guide? Well, it's a double whammy, my friend. Iron Man #55 doesn't just feature the first appearance of Thanos, it also contains the first appearance of Drax The Destroyer! Actually, there he is right on the cover.

As we all know, The Guardians of the Galaxy movie is slated for a 2014 release, and who is a member of modern version of Guardians? You guessed right - Drax The Destroyer! Oh, if you didn't know already, the Guardians of the Galaxy movie will feature the more modern line up.

Marvel Comics To Invest In Right Now Before 2014!

Welcome to another addition of On The Hunt! In light of some confirmations from Marvel Studios at this years Comic Con in San Diego, I've got quite a list of comics to invest in that will be on the hot burner soon. A few of my choices already are hot!

So let's name off some of the prey you should really consider tracking down as soon as possible. Here are the comic investing choices that should be in your sights and why!

Tales To Astonish #27
(First Appearance of Henry Pym!)
That's right! Marvel Studios showed test footage of the long talked about Ant-Man movie at Comic Con this year. The film has even been slated for 2014 release, and it seems the Ant-Man will most likely tie into Avengers 2. After all, he is an original member of the Avengers.

So with Ant-Man's very own solo movie coming out in 2014 and him joining the roster in Avengers 2, it makes sense to be on the hunt for this book. This is actually the first appearance of the character Henry Pym, who later becomes Ant-Man.

Be prepared to shell out a major bucks for a high grade copy, if you can find one. It won't be easy to find low grade copies of this book. However, this Marvel key issue is well worth it and will be in demand for quite a long time. So let's see what the damage is:

Near Mint - (low near mint): $20,000
Very Fine:                                $5,500
Fine:                                         $1,950
Very Good:                              $1,300
Good:                                          $600 has a CGC graded 2.5 copy on consignment. Who knows how long this one will last there. I'm sure once the word spreads about the new Ant-Man flick and Marvel's plans for him in Avengers 2, this comic will gone like a fart in the wind.

You can click the link to check out the CGC graded copy of Tales to Astonish #27 at

Tales To Astonish #35
(First Appearance of Ant-Man!)
And here we are! The very first appearance of Ant-Man in Tales of Astonish #35. I don't really need to get into why this key issue is a prime choice to track down as a comic investment, do I?

The cover may say "Return of the Ant-Man," but this is actually the character's first appearance in costume, and the rest is comic book history! This one won't be easy to find, and you can expect to shell out some mullah. It's way less than Tales to Astonish #27, however. That's surprising!

Near Mint - (low near mint): $6,000
Very Fine:                                $1,800
Fine:                                         $642
Very Good:                              $428
Good:                                         $214
As of this writing both Newkadia and do not have this book in stock. I'm pretty sure a few copies are up for sale on ebay.

Tales To Astonish #44
(First Appearance of Wasp!)

It's safe to assume since Ant-Man is primed to have his own featured film, it would make sense that Henry Pym's first wife - Janet Van Dyke - would be included in the spot light. Not only is Janet Van Dyke Henry Pym's wife, she's also the Wasp and founding member of the Avengers.
So, it's pretty safe to assume that her character will also be joining the Avengers team in Avengers 2, and it's pretty safe to say that the first appearance of Wasp will be a hot key issue to hunt for until 2015.

It's always best to get these books as early as possible before both the Ant-Man movie and the Avengers sequel makes this book's value ludicrous. It could mean the difference of a few dollars to quite a few dollars as these movies near their release dates.

Near Mint - (low near mint): $1,400
Very Fine:                                $421
Fine:                                         $156
Very Good:                              $104
Good:                                          $52

Much more affordable than both the Ant-Man key issues. Looks like you'll be able to hunt this comic down easier on ebay. It will safer getting a CGC graded copy, instead of an unslabbed book, since most comic sellers on there don't know how to grade a book properly.

Fantastic Four #52
(First Appearance of The Black Panther!)
Even though it seems that a Black Panther movie has taken a backseat to Ant-Man for 2014, I have no doubt that the very first black superhero will have his due on screen soon. Whether he first appears in a cameo end credit scene or during phase 3 of Marvel Studio's cinematic line up, those at Marvel seem dead set in getting this awesome character in the movies.

It's definitely not a matter of "if," but "when."

As if FF #52 wasn't already a highly sought out silver age key issue for comic investors and collectors, you can bet when the Panther's movie career takes off, it will be even more of a gem to snatch.

I am truly hoping they do a solo movie, as T'Challa's story and origin is perfect for the screen. Just think of Gladiator in Africa. After all, to be the Black Panther, one has to defeat all the best warriors from the various tribes in Wakanda. Yes, action galore!

The first appearance of the Black Panther is still highly affordable at low to VF grades. Take a look at the guide values.

Near Mint - (low near mint): $1,190
Very Fine:                                $210
Fine:                                         $87
Very Good:                              $58
Good:                                          $29

Now the only problem is finding a copy. Once again, the fine folks have 3 copies available. Two will be up for auction in Oct 6th and one is in stock. Click the link to grab your copy of Fantastic Four #52 - the first appearance of Black Panther!

Captain America #117
(First Appearance of The Falcon!)

Talk about getting historical here. The Falcon is the very first African American superhero in the world of comics, and it's been announced that the Falcon will, indeed, be in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Who's playing this iconic hero? Anthony Mackie has been confirmed. Will he be in the Avengers 2? Who knows, but probably! Even more reason to get the first appearance of the Falcon, right?

What's even better is that this comic investment is still highly affordable, but the book is hot right now and gaining momentum. So get in your sights and snare it before it becomes even harder to catch.

Near Mint - (low near mint): $1,190
Very Fine:                                $210
Fine:                                         $87
Very Good:                              $58
Good:                                         $29

Mycomicshop has one copy in stock and two that will be ready to auction off Oct 6. Take a gander by clicking the link or the cover image above.

Alright, so there we have it for now. This list will surely be continued as there are a lot more Marvel movie events that are prompting for certain key issues to be in high demand in the future.

So stayed tuned. Be sure to bookmark or subscribe to this blog's rss feed. Oh yes, and feel free to comment and take a look around.
