X-Men First Class Sequel Based Off Days of Future Past Comic Book!

It's been confirmed that the sequel to X-Men: First Class will be based off the Uncanny X-Men comic book story arc Days of Future Past starting in issue 141 to 142. The new movie, after all, is titled X-Men: Days of Future Past!

Those at movie studio Fox claim that the new X-Men movie will be the most ambitious one yet, and I surely hope so. After all, the Days of Future past is one of my favorite story lines from the X-Men comic books.

There's little doubt that they will mess with the comic book story line in order to best serve their needs for the movie on screen, but I'm hoping they do not do it too much. I can hope.

So what's the story contained within the fan favorite issues of X-Men 141 and 142, written by the legendary team up of comic book writer Chris Claremont and artwork by Terry Austin and John Byrne

Here's a small glimpse of the comic book story line:

Set in a dystopian future, Sentinels rule the United States All mutants, including the members of the X-Men – are incarcerated in concentration camps.

Rachel Summers sends an older Kitty Pryde's mind back to her younger, present-day self to warn the X-Men about the horrors that await them and the assassination of a politician that triggers it all.

Will this mean that the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie will flip back and forth from the present day to the past. It looks like it since Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen have both been confirmed to reprise their X-Men roles of Professor X and Magneto in the upcoming sequel.

So it looks like those at Fox Studios weren't lying when they said this new X-Men movie will be quite ambitious. Bryan Singer has replaced Matthew Vaughn as director, and the original X-Men: First Class cast of Michael Fassbender as the young Magneto, James McAvoy as the young Professor X, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicolas Hoult are all returning.

However, it's widely speculated that Hugh Jackman as Wolverine will make a cameo appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past. If so, will the other original X-Men movie cast like Halle Berry or Famke Janssen make appearances also?

More hotties in a comic book movie? One can only hope!

As for the bronze age Uncanny X-Men issues 141 and 142 that the new movie is based off of, it's highly recommended to add these to your X-Men comic collection. No, not because of the movie.

Because the comic book story arc is one of the most beloved to X-Men comic book fans! Actually, the creative team of Chris Claremont and John Byrne has been regarded as legendary on the X-Men comics for a reason.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters July 18th 2014!

The X-Men Days of Future Past comics are on the hot burner now, and high grades should be considered great key comic book issues to have, and great comic investments to own.

Mycomicshop has both issues at high grade for sale. Uncanny X-Men 141 is at a VF/NM and is up for auction starting Dec 1.

Issue 142 is a CGC 9.6 (NM+). Click the link or the image to check out these two affordable bronze age comics to invest in.
